Darleen Mull Stembridge, 86, of Chase City, VA, passed away on November 22, 2013. She was born on November 6, 1927 in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late Clarence Uray and Mary Etta Mull. She is predeceased by her husband, Silas Stembridge, her brothers, Fred Mull and Spencer Mull and her sisters, Wilma Johnson and Eleanor Newcomb. She is survived by her son, Victor Stembridge and his wife Mindy of Glen Allen, VA, her daughter, Paige S. Nipper and her husband Mike of Chase City, VA, one sister, Juanita Durrette of Colonia, NJ, two brothers, C.U. Jr. “Buddy” Mull of Richmond, VA, and Billy Mull of Chase City, VA, her grandchildren, Michael Nipper and his wife Cassy, Todd Nipper and his wife Tracey, April Baker and her husband Bradley, Brian Christianson, and Daniel Stembridge and his wife Amanda, twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stembridge was a life-long member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Marsha Davis and Reverend Jeaux Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association, American Heart Association, Chase City Volunteer Fire Department, or the Chase City Rescue Squad.
