Christine Bradsher

Christine Lewis Bradsher, 90, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on July 15, 2014. She was born on September 9, 1923 in Halifax County, VA to the late Christopher and Mary Lewis. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly B. Avant of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren, Michael Keith Avant of Raleigh, NC and Sonya A. Tankersley and her husband Chris of Zebulon, NC; and two great-grandchildren, Christopher Tankersley and Ashley Tankersley. She is also survived by four sisters, Mable L. Condrey of Richmond, Millie L. Wells of South Hill, Glynn L. Whitten of Chase City, and Louise L. Harris of Boydton; numerous nieces and nephews; and her caregiver, Mildred Pugh. She is predeceased by her husband, Ivey F. Bradsher and three sisters, Dorothy L. Eisenhour, Vernice L. Manning, and Gladys L. Foley. Mrs. Bradsher is a member of Easters Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
