Elizabeth Simmons

Elizabeth Chadwick Simmons, 93, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on November 30, 2014. She was born on August 4, 1921 in Lunenburg County, Virginia to the late Charlie Gray Chadwick and the late Elsie Thompson Chadwick. She is survived by one son, Charles Richard Simmons and his wife, Mary Ruth of Chase City and one daughter, Sandra Simmons Crump and her husband, Victor of South Boston, one granddaughter, Karen Simmons and three great-grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Starr Simmons and Ayanna Washington. She is also survived by her brother, Vernon “Buck” Chadwick of Buffalo Junction, numerous nieces and nephews, and her devoted caregivers, Linda Hutchins, Amanda Bullock, and Barbara Reese. She is predeceased by her husband, James Henry Simmons, one granddaughter, Cheryl Johnson and one sister, Evelyn Olguin. Mrs. Simmons is a member of Concord Baptist Church and she was a homemaker. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
