Ruby Ferrell

Ruby Inge Ferrell, 90, of Halifax, Virginia passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014. She was born on May 8, 1924 in Charlotte County, Virginia to the late Ollie Inge and the late Bessie Smith Inge. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Dean Moyers of Harrisonburg, VA and Sharon Sue Hughes and her husband, Jimmy of Turbeville, VA, three sons, Victor Rex Ferrell, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Chase City, VA, Harold Stanley Ferrell of Lynchburg, VA, and Jimmy Ferrell of Halifax, VA, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ferrell is predeceased by her husband, Victor Rex Ferrell, Sr., one son, Randy Neal Ferrell, and one brother, William L. Inge. Ruby is a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Public Fork Christian Church cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Public Fork Christian Church, 1700 J E B Stuart Highway, Red Oak, VA 23964.
