Geneva Huff

Geneva Jones Huff, 86, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015. She was born on April 23, 1928 in Red Oak, Virginia to the late Aubrey Newbell Jones and the late Mary Gertrude Hines Jones. Geneva is survived by two sons, Charles Ray Reese, Sr. and his wife Barbara of South Boston, VA, Gary Steven Reese and his wife Clara of Parksley, VA, two daughters, Betty R. Putney of St. Louis, MO, and Diane R. Mull of Chase City, VA, nine grandchildren, Melvin Seay, Jr., Charles Ray Reese, Jr., Stephen Putney, Clay Reese, Jason Reese, Brian Reese, Tammy Underwood, Christina Seay, and Jennifer Maynard, and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one niece, one nephew, her devoted friend Guy DeSantis, and her very special caregivers, Marie Jenkins, Shirley Douglas, Arlene Ganganus, Maggie Brown, Gloria Gaiman, Lucille Watson, and Lisa Driggs. Mrs. Huff is predeceased by her husband, Stephen Roy Huff, two brothers, Herman H. Jones and Aubrey Jones, Jr. “Slick,” and two sisters, Gracie Jones and Betty Jones. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Concord Baptist Church cemetery.
