Gladys Brankley

Gladys Eleanor Godsey Brankley, 87, of Chase City, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015. She was born on January 29, 1928 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia to the late Claude Garland Godsey and the late Lillian Madison Talley Godsey. Gladys is survived by one daughter, Lillian Brankley Elliott of Chase City, VA, one son, James Michael Brankley and his wife, Dee of Nanacock, VA, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Godsey of Oxford, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brankley is predeceased by her husband, James David Brankley. She is a member of Bethel Baptist Church and worked for Roses for seventeen years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home chapel.
