Daisy Winn

Daisy Thompson Winn, 90, of Concord, VA formerly of Chase City, VA passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015. She was born on July 13, 1924 in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late Charles Robert Thompson and the late Nancy Ida Wolfe Thompson. She is survived by two daughters, Betty W. Bell of Concord, VA and Martha W. Crutchfield of Concord, VA, three grandchildren, Glenna Orr and her husband Chuck, Carla Boswell, and Brian Yancey and his wife Mindi, three great-grandchildren, Amy Orr, Kristen Orr, and Harper Yancey, one sister, Pauline Collie of Chase City, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Winn is predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Cummings C. Winn and nine siblings. Daisy is a member of First Baptist Church in Chase City, VA and she retired as a school cafeteria worker. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
