Ruby Lenhart

Ruby Missouri Sanders Lenhart, 89, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015. She was born on January 26, 1926 in Bostic, North Carolina to the late Casa Byanker Sanders and the late Missouri Sane Sanders. She is survived by two daughters, Jane Scott and her husband, Butch of Chase City and Rita Wells of LaCrosse, four grandchildren, Jimmy Scott of Chase City, Stephen Scott of Chase City, Andy Wells and his wife, Leah of Kenbridge and Charity Wells of Richmond and seven great-grandchildren, Shelby Scott, Riley Wells, Caroline Wells, Jay Franklin, Miranda Franklin, Emily Franklin, and Holden Daniel. Ruby is also survived by her sister, Jeanette Allgood of Baskerville and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lenhart is predeceased by her husband, James Raymond Lenhart, five sisters, Mary Hutchins, Grace Walker, Carmel Weast, Gladys McKenny, and Myrtle Hope, and four brothers, Mark Sanders, Lewis Sanders, William Sanders, and George Sanders. She is a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and Eastern Star. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
