JT Lenhart, age 98, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. He was born on June 23, 1918 in Chase City to the late Jacob Emmanuel Guy Lenhart and the late Lillian Dewey Bell Lenhart. JT is survived by his son, Robert Lee Lenhart, Sr. and his wife Janet of Chesterfield, VA, daughter-in-law, Phyllis Lenhart Williams of Chase City, VA, three grandchildren, Robert Lee Lenhart, Jr. and his wife Kim, Terri Snoots and her husband Darin, and Paula Lenhart Wilson and her husband Craig and seven great-grandchildren, Evan Lenhart, Caleb Holden, Clayton Lenhart, Christopher Blake Wilson, Caroline Wilson, Zayden Snoots, and Davis Snoots. He is also survived by one brother, N.J. Lenhart and his wife, Gerri of Chase City and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Lenhart is predeceased by his wife, Pauline Robbins Lenhart and one son, Christopher Guy Lenhart. He is a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, World War II Army Veteran, and a member of American Legion Post 43 for over 60 years. He retired from Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post 43. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Friendship United Methodist Church, 25649 Highway 49, Chase City, Virginia 23924.
