Gladys Ashworth

Gladys Skelton Ashworth, age 93, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017. She was born on July 10, 1923 in Charlotte County, Virginia to the late Ira Skelton and the late Lelia Toombs Skelton.

She is survived by her daughter, Pat Ashworth of Chase City, numerous nieces and nephews and a special family friend, Carnell Smithson. Mrs. Ashworth was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, John S. Ashworth, one sister and five brothers. She was homemaker and a member of Mount Horeb Baptist Church in Chase City.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Woodland Cemetery in Chase City. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the CMH Cancer Foundation, P.O.
