Audrey Carter

Audrey Ayers Carter, age 84, of Chase City, VA passed away November 2, 2018. She is the daughter of the late Jesse and Mamie Ayers. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Carter, Jr.; her brother, Roy Ayers; and her sister, Irene McGuire. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Carter Homes and husband Charles F. Homes, III of Boydton, VA; her grandson, Mark Brandon Homes (Michelle Phillips); her great grandchildren, Carter Homes and Taya Phillips of Oak Ridge, N.C.; her sister, Geneva Shepherd of Blackstone, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 5, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, November 5, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
