Susie Seamans

Susie Faye Hicks Seamans, age 80, of Skipwith, Virginia passed away March 11, 2020. She was born August 20, 1939 in North Carolina and was the daughter of the late Pinkey Bloom Smith and the late Emma King Smith.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Susie was a beloved babysitter for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Seamans, grandson, Cameron Singleton, and six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Michelle Seamans (Jesse Morris) of Skipwith; grandson, Chad Bunn; and brothers and sisters, Archie Smith, Arnold Smith, Mamie Maness, Alice Davis, Clara Garner, and Peggy Smith all of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, 9040 Trottinridge Road, Chase City, VA 23924. Following the service, friends and family are welcome to the church’s fellowship hall for a reception.
