Phyllis Long Duckworth

Phyllis Long Duckworth, age 62, of Skipwith, VA, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011. She was born on April 14, 1949 in Lynchburg, VA to the late Clarence and Lorraine Adams. She is survived by her husband, David Michael “Mike” Duckworth, two daughters, Virginia Fowler of Oxford, NC, and Melissa Chappotin of Melbourne, Fl, two sons, Ronnie Clay of Red Oak, VA, and Michael Duckworth of Lawrenceville, VA, one sister, Lisa Whitman of Suffolk, VA, seven grandchildren, Timothy Duckworth, Arielle Duckworth, David Duckworth, Sarah Clay, Jennifer Hancock, Christopher Chappotin, and Kristina Chappotin, and two step-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her grandson, Steven Clay. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 2 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church.
