Drewery Carter, 82, of Boydton, VA, passed away on July 22, 2011. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Doss of Oxford, NC, one sister, Virginia Dean Gosney of LaCrosse, VA, and two brothers, James “Pete” Carter of Chase City, VA, and William Preston Carter of Boydton, VA. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior of the service. Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
