Don Scott Williams, 68, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026. He was born May 5, 1958 and is the son of the late Marvin Marion Williams and the late Caroleen Hipps Williams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Kerry Williams Campbell.
Scott is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patricia A. Williams; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Williams Wells (Patrick) of Chester, VA; son, Joshua Scott Williams (Ana) of Fayetteville, NC; and his grandchildren, Abigail Wells, Noah Williams, Jacob Williams, Grace Goicoechea, and Yacil Goicoechea. He is also survived by his sister, Hilda Driggs (David); brothers, Marshall Williams (Sue) and Roger Williams (Jane); his special friends, Leland Leonard, Cody Camphuysen, Darren Simpson, Tanya Smith, Ronnie McGriff, Lee Lenhart and special family friend from Alabama, “Tiny Teen.” Scott also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and loving friends.
Scott was a self employed Truck Driver and fork lift repairman for many years. He was currently employed as a Propane Delivery Driver for Parker Oil Company in Chase City. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Alabama and was attending Bethel Baptist Church in Chase City. Scott was an avid hunter and a member of Mountain Road Hunt Club. Some of his favorite pastimes include hunting, fishing, cutting grass, tinkering, and fixing things. He was kind, generous and always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved to give nicknames to all of his family and friends. Scott will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home and all other times at Scott and Patty’s Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 21, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
