Donald Ray “Donnie” Jackson, 65, of Red Oak, Virginia passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026. He was born June 1, 1961 and is the son of the late Carleton Raymond Jackson and Hazel Mills Jackson.
Donnie is survived by his daughter, Tabitha Jackson of Buffalo Junction; son, Travis Jackson of Buffalo Junction; and two granddaughters, Sierra Lacks and Kinley Jackson. He is also survived by his mother, Hazel Mills Jackson; sisters, Deborah “Tiny” DeSantis and Myrna Jackson; brothers, Andrew Jackson (Christin), and Michael Jackson (Sherri); and a host of special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
Donnie was a Randolph Henry High School graduate, Class of 1979. He was a member of Hebron Methodist Chuch in Saxe. He was a carpenter and was well known for his woodworking skills and talent, especially when it came to building cabinets. He was an avid collector of Coca Cola memorabilia. Donnie was an outdoorsman and enjoyed nature especially hunting, fishing, canoeing, and camping. He also loved to travel to the mountains and any ocean where he could scuba dive. Donnie loved photography and taking pictures of all of his family.
A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Hardy-Mills Family Cemetery in Red Oak, Virginia. Pastor Doug Mills will officiate. Family and friends are welcome to visit at 5662 Hwy 58, Buffalo Junction, VA 23964.
