Doug Carter

Norman Douglas “Doug” Carter, Jr., age 65, of Chase City, Virginia passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024. He was born September 29, 1958 in Jacksonville, Florida and was the son of the late Norman Douglas Carter and the late Carol Jane Gilliam Carter. 

Doug is survived by his sister, Karen L. Schieber; nephews and niece, Nicholas Ryan, Brittany Schieber, and James “J.D.” Schieber, Jr.; great-nephews, Aydan “A.J.” Schieber, Derek Adorno, and Bryce Adorno; two aunts and numerous cousins. 

He graduated from Edgewater High School in Orlando, FL in 1976. Doug was a residence of Melbourne, Florida before moving to Chase City in 2022. Doug was a die hard Florida Gator fan. He was extraordinarily artistic and intelligent; he enjoyed painting and had an incredible memory for dates in the past, sports scores, and music.

To honor Doug’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
