Ogburn Edward “Eddie” Lenhart, 71, of Chase City, Virginia, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024. He was born March 24, 1953 and was the son of the late Ernest Roy Lenhart and the late Margaret Spake Lenhart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Lenhart Lacks and his brother, Michael Roy Lenhart.
Eddie is survived by his wife, JoAnn Bolick Lenhart; his children, Peggie Jo Lenhart Powell (Robert) of South Hill, Wendy Lenhart Farley (Charles) of Vernon Hill, and Chad Edward Lenhart of Chase City; grandchildren, Taylor Burke, Bryce Burke, Braiden Burke, C.J. Farley, Lathen Lenhart, Colby Lenhart, and Brylee Lenhart; and great-grandson, Jett Watkins. He is also survived by his brother, Andrew Dean Lenhart (Janet); sisters-in-law, Pete Lenhart and Belinda Burns; brothers-in-law, Herby Bolick and OE Bolick (Brenda); numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and his close friends, Garland Carter, Bill Davis, and Bill Hamblen.
He was co-owner and operator of Lenhart Brothers Automotive Repair. Eddie’s greatest passions in life were his family, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and he always enjoyed joking and being a prankster.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
