Eddie Warren Royster, 74, of Red Oak, Virginia passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024. He was born November 21, 1949 in South Boston, Virginia and is the son of the late Ralph Warren Royster and the late Ruby Royster.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Colton Osborne and sister, Carolyn Royster.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Joy Rutledge Royster; two daughters, Teresa Osborne (Raleigh Osborne, Jr.) of Chase City and Daphne Lipscomb of Phenix; grandchildren, Dylan Osborne (Alyssa Osborne), Avarie Lipscomb, and Allie Lipscomb; great-grandchildren, Sadie Osborne and Willow Osborne; sister, Nancy Greene; special friend, Byslinda “Butter” Dailey; and numerous other family members and friends.
Eddie was a long time Tobacco and Cattle Farmer. He enjoyed racing, fishing, hunting and he was an avid gun collector.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Public Fork Christian Church Cemetery with Pastor Jack Stewart officiating. The family is receiving friends at Joy and Eddie’s home.
