Eliza Seneker Willis

Eliza Belle Seneker Willis, 69, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023. She was born December 1, 1953 in Wyandotte, Michigan. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Jospeh Paul Seneker. 

Eliza is survived by her husband, Charles Hunter Willis; her children, Charles Hunter Willis, Jr. (Tina) of Clarksville, VA, William Gordon Willis (Charis) of Centennial, CO and Kristin Willis of Mechanicsville, VA; and grandchildren, Charles H. Willis III “Tripp,” Daisy Willis, Delilah Willis and Rowan Willis. She is also survived by her mother, Ruby Payne; sisters, Mary Seneker Willis (Ricky), Becky Seneker Queen, Genny Seneker Warren, Fran Seneker Thomas, and Patti Payne Roberts; brother, Joe Seneker (Donna); and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She graduated from Longwood University with a Master’s Degree in Psychology and also minored in Mathematics. She was an adjunct professor for Southside Virginia Community College and was employed with the Lunenburg Correctional Center for 35 years. Eliza enjoyed to travel with Charles and loved the scenery, especially the waterfalls which were her favorite. 

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home.
