Jerri Doss

Jurlean Cole “Jerri” Doss, 70, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Monday, February 13, 2023. She was born April 12, 1952 in South Boston, Virginia. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie James “Jimmy” Doss and her sister, Barbara Harris. 

Jerri is survived by her sons, Shane Farrar (Sherry), Jamie Doss (Shannon) and Nicky Doss (Aleshia); grandchildren, Devin Farrar, Laiana Foster, Tucker Doss, Jace Doss and Karsyn Doss; a niece, Kim Grogan; nephews, Jamie Harris and EC Harris; special friends, Barbara and Teresa, Grant Carey, and Diana Overby; and numerous other friends. 

Jerri’s favorite pastime was fishing and she also enjoyed playing the scratch off lottery tickets. She was a former store clerk for Dollar General in Chase City.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
