Joanna Jones Jordan

Joanna Jones Jordan, 51, of Boydton, Virginia passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023. She was born November 25, 1971 in South Hill, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Tommie Jones and the late Sarah Allgood Jones. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Donald Jordan and her nephew, Mitch Yoder. 

Joanna is survived by her children, Brandon Moore (Selena), Sara Mooney (Cody), and Jesse Moore; grandchildren, Cassie Moore, Kathleen Mooney, Braylynn Moore, Serenity Moore, Dylan Jordan, and one on the way, Waylon Mooney; her sisters, Ramona Jones-Yoder, Michelle Hinkle and Angela Jones; and nephew, Grant Yoder. 

Joanna was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church. She was a 1989 graduate of Park View High School. After high school, Joanna attended Cosmetology School and received her certificate as a Licensed Beautician. She worked at several salons before starting her own salon. Joanna enjoyed fishing, shopping and going to the beach which was her happy place. She took a trip to the beach just days before her passing. Joanna also spent a lot of time reminiscing and missing her loved ones that had passed before her, her mom, dad and beloved husband, Ken. Above all else, she adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, July 30, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. at Olive Branch Baptist Church, 5223 Blackridge Road, LaCrosse, VA 23950. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Wayne Guynn will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the church.
