Judy Gail Bruce

Judy Gail Bruce, 70, of Chase City, Virginia went to be with Jesus and many of her loving family members on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. She was born on September 28, 1954 and was the daughter of the late Carl Edward Bruce, Sr. and the late Ellie Jeanette “Polly” Bruce.

In addition to her devoted parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Evelyn Tharpe and Nancy Pennell; and brothers, Carl Edward Bruce, Jr. and Danny Bruce, Sr.

Judy is survived by her brother, Rex Bruce (Ruby); sisters, Cindy McMahan (Dwight) and Robbin Bruce Fitzgerald (Tim); and many loving nieces and nephews.

We thank God for the life of our sweet Judy - a precious gift placed in our family to teach us a love that is deeper than words and stronger than anything this world could offer. Though Judy was nonverbal and non-mobile in her later years, her spirit spoke loud and clear: a message of hope, patience, joy, and unconditional love. She was fearfully and wonderfully made, created in the image of a God who does not measure worth by ability, but by the heart. Now, Judy is healed and whole, dancing and singing in the presence of Jesus. Until we see you again, sweet Judy, we will carry your love - a love that has forever changed us.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodland Mausoleum in Chase City.
