Kathryn Bynum Reese

Kathryn Bynum Reese, age 93, of Chase City, Virginia passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022. She was born June 26, 1929 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Lee Bynum and the late Natilee Hodge Bynum. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alson Lee Reese and her brother, Charles Bynum. 

Kathryn is survived by her sister, Virginia B. Steagall; brother, R.A. Bynum, and several nieces and nephews. 

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chase City and a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Newcomb Allgood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Chase City. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 until the start of the service.
