Richard Mull

Richard James “Ricky” Mull, 70, of Chase City, Virginia passed away January 9, 2024. He was born May 9, 1953 in Farmville, Virginia and was the son of the late James Emile Mull and the late Iola Carter Mull. 


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, David Scott “Scotty” Mull and Steven Troy Mull; and brother, J.E. Mull, Jr.


Ricky is survived by his grandson, Jacob Scott Mull; granddaughter, Brittany Stoner; sister, Jo Anne Andrews; brother, Ronald Wayne Mull; and nephew, Dick Andrews. 


He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Chase City and a Bluestone Senior High School graduate. In the late 70s, he thoroughly enjoyed playing the drums in The Ozone Band. He was a very talented and skilled carpenter and could build anything. He and his son, Steven loved to build model airplanes and fly them together. He loved animals, especially cats. Ricky was always laughing and joking and had a great sense of humor. 


A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Woodland Cemetery in Chase City. 


In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Ricky’s memory to the Lake Country SPCA (P.O. Box 14, Clarksville, VA 23927) or The American Cancer Society (P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741).
