Robert Nickerson Lewis, 86, of South Boston, Virginia passed away September 6, 2025. He was born September 21, 1938 and was the son of the late Edward N. Lewis and the late Hazel Knox Lewis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Raszman Lewis; brothers, Buddy Lewis and George Lewis; and sisters, Lois Green, Peggy Wechsler, and Lucille Corning.
Robert is survived by his sons, Marty Lewis (Debbie) of Chase City, Greg Lewis (Debbie) of Red Oak, Thomas Trask (Karin) of Maryland, Robert Trask, Sr. (Carolyn) of Arizona, and Daniel Trask of Chase City; his grandchildren, Angela Grensavitch, Robert Lewis, Marc Lewis, Courtney Lewis, Emily Lewis, Jacob Trask, Robert Trask, Jr., Laura Trask, Jessica Trask, Max Trask, Bailey Trask, and Kristina Trask; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Andrews of Blackstone; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert honorably served his country and is a United States Air Force Veteran. After his retirement from the Air Force, he was an inspector for the Virginia Department of Transportation. Robert loved to play golf and fish.
Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery.
